Trumpet the Mexican gray wolf was born at the Wolf Conservation Center in New York as part of the plan to help the endangered species. But no one could know what kind of mother she’d be as she was an only child.
Trumpet never saw other litters being taken care of or raised, so she was going into this blindly. But it would turn out her maternal instincts would lead her down the right path!
And when the conservatory webcam caught Trumpet snuggling her fussy pup back to sleep like a good mama, it proved love transcends all species and that wolves aren’t all that different from the dogs we know and cherish as our pets. Amazing! 🙂
