Rhys McKinnon was snapping some photos of the breathtaking view at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island in Massachusetts when an opportunity to capture some ducks in the pond presented itself. He was pleased with the shot but didn’t even realize what was hiding in plain sight…
There behind the three ducks was another animal–a big, beautiful swan! He spotted her while editing the photo later that night and regretted not being able to focus more shots on the elegant bird.
The swan was easy to miss as she blended right in with the icy embankment in the background. But it made for quite the happy accident! 🙂
