The Humane Society of the United States arrived on scene to help with the rescuing of nearly 40 dogs from a hoarding and neglect situation in Smith County, Texas. The SPCA of East Texas and Animal Investigations and Response also provided assistance on-scene…
Local authorities served a search warrant on the residential property where dogs were found in kennels with their water bowls frozen over. The living conditions were hazardous with metal collapsing into some of the cages. Some of the dogs appeared to be fearful while others were eager for attention and appeared excited to greet the rescuers. The dogs would be transported to a temporary shelter in an undisclosed location to be examined by licensed veterinarians and receive much-needed care and TLC. Life only gets better from here!
