Sun Bear Cub Goes Bonkers In Return To Woods After Rough Beginning To Life
There’s nothing better than the pure joy of this sun bear cub returning to her natural habitat and home in the forest after a series of unfortunate events and rough beginning to life.
Kala was left alone after her mother was killed by poachers. She was then sold off as an exotic pet.
Fortunately, the person who bought her turned her in to officials.
She ended up at the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center.
Her caretakers started taking her on walks in the forest. And you can imagine the joy!
The sun bear’s first time in the forest since losing her mother was filled with excitement and fun!
She bit at branches and explored everything in sight. The happiness was apparent on her face.
Sun bears would normally be with their mothers until 2 or 3 years old…
But since Kala lost her mother, BSBCC raised her with the hopes of releasing her back into the wild someday.
They say her forest skills improved every day. They were confident she would go on to live in the wild again eventually.
Kala couldn’t wait! 🙂
I just love seeing people do everything they can to help animals live in their natural habitat. Because after all, that is where they are the happiest! 🙂
