A little puppy who’d seen better days and was in desperate need of a lifeline was spotted on outreach in De Doorns. He didn’t feel well and wasn’t eating or drinking, and his gums were white and cold to the touch. Sidewalk Specials asked the owner to surrender him, and they obliged.
Rescuers had to get the pup back to the hospital right away to find out what was wrong. The vet discovered a bone had been lodged in his throat the whole time, and there was a metal wire stuck in his intestine. This explained everything.
Squiggle remains under the care of Sidewalk Specials while receiving the care and treatment he needs. He’s expected to make a full recovery, and he’ll be put up for adoption when ready and healthy! 🙂
