Rudozem Street Dog Rescue in Bulgaria received word of a stray in need of some serious help and immediately sprung to action. The puppy was completely malnourished and on the brink of death.
When they arrived and saw her with their own eyes, they couldn’t believe it.
They slowly approached the dog as they could tell she was in serious pain.
They knew she would need immediate care in order for there to be any chance of survival.
Her life as a stray took its toll on her mentally and physically.
She could barely move but always tried her best and kept pushing.
Khaleesi would have a long road ahead to say the least.
After she gained a little bit of strength, she got her first bath.
After everything she’d been through, she welcomed the affection and care from the rescuers.
Slowly, Khaleesi started showing more and more signs of life.
Her life was becoming more like that of a normal dog. And it was great to see!
Trips to the local vet were frequent, but Khaleesi was always loving and cooperative.
She received all of her vaccinations…
…And got a pretty cast for her broken leg. 🙂
This is the face of a dog who’s starting to feel better. 🙂
Khaleesi’s coat started to grow back…
…And her appetite returned.
Meet the new and improved Khaleesi! She doesn’t even look like the same dog. 🙂
