The friendliest pittie was found in the rainforest stuck up on an observation tower. He was too scared to go down on his own, and he was very skinny and exhausted. It was clear he’d been abandoned here at an elevation of 3,500 feet. And he needed help.
Animal Rescue Team Vega Baja and Second Chance Animal Rescue of Puerto Rico worked together to make the rescue happen. There was a 30-minute hike down the mountain to get out of the jungle, and the tired boy with the sunburned nose crashed about 20 minutes in. They had to carry him the rest of the way.
He was taken to the clinic for a checkup, and that’s where they named him Ragnar. He’d be put on the road to recovery with the promise of a good future ahead of him! The good boy would never be abandoned like that ever again.
