James Vreeland is an animal lover and has always fed the squirrels and birds near his home in Detroit, Michigan. But recently, he decided to use his time to build a tiny restaurant in the front yard for all of the little critters to enjoy!

Maison de Noix, French for “The Nut House,” features several crafted benches surrounded by a fence and entrance.

“We’ve been offering an opening course of a seed medley, followed by peanuts on the full shell, house-cut bread sticks, and a dessert of counter-softened apples,” James Vreeland told The Dodo.
The menu can be seen here:

The little restaurant has prospered with squirrels and blue jays constantly flocking in! Not only have the animals enjoyed it, James and all of his neighbors have taken a real interest in watching from afar.

How great is this? Knowing the birds and squirrels are happy and fed is all the thanks James wants and needs. 🙂
