Animal Aid Unlimited came across a street dog unable to stand or move no matter how hard she tried. The sweet dog sat there with the most beautiful smile and wonderful personality despite her difficulties, and she trusted in her rescuers right away. This made saving her that much easier, but there was still lots of work to be done.
They got the good girl back to the animal hospital where they gave her stiff body meds for her severe pain. It was discovered that she had no fractures, but her spine was injured. Her back legs would just wobble before collapsing, and so they started off with massages and stretches.
Progress would be slow, but the dog was more than willing to see it through and keep fighting for as long as it’d take. And all the hard work would be worth it in the end! After about two months of therapy, Iris now seems to just glide around. See her now! 🙂
