Peter the one-year-old Cocker Spaniel loves to run and play like any other dog. The only difference is that when he gets too excited, he tumbles to the ground. But he’s not in any pain or anything and can get right back up and back to playing. His owners have dubbed his condition “fainting goat syndrome.”
The bizarre neurological condition makes the dog momentarily pass out, but vets are confident he’s happy and healthy otherwise. Further testing could pin down what exactly is going on with Peter, but they say he could easily live his life this way with no other implications.
His owners, Emma Clayton, 26, and Oliver Broomhead, 30, love him just the way he is and wouldn’t trade him for the world. 🙂
