Chaba was born at an elephant camp in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where her mother was forced to perform and entertain the masses. This was what fate had in store for the little too, but the Save Elephant Foundation stepped in for rescue!
They found both elephants in a small concrete pen and the mother on a short chain. Rescuers were then able to negotiate their rescue and release and brought them into their sanctuary together. At this point, it was time for baby Chaba’s very first bath, and you can see that video below! 🙂
We’re so glad this family gets to live their lives the way they’re supposed to, and do so together.
