Animal Aid Unlimited received a call about an old street dog who’d collapsed and couldn’t even lift his head. His ear was damaged, and he had a gaping hole in his stomach. The poor boy had absolutely no strength, so they carefully carried him back to the vehicle.
This senior dog had almost given up, but now he was back at the hospital ready to begin a lengthy rehabilitation effort. Rescuers applied powder to kill the maggots, and afterward he was sedated in order for them to completely clean the wounds.
The dog woke up from sedation and started eating after a little encouragement. And 25 days later, he was healing nicely but still very weak. He had suffered so much, but this old boy was ready for some sunny days ahead. Meet Baloo today! 🙂
