With the recent COVID-19 outbreak, many businesses have had to find ways to continue reaching their customers as they’ve been ordered to close their doors to large gatherings. And the Stone House Urban Winery in Hagerstown, Maryland, found the cutest way to do so. 🙂
That’s where a 75-pound Boxer named Soda Pup came into the picture. The 11-year-old dog was fitted with a type of saddlebag that can hold two bottles of wine for safe, no-contact delivery. Co-owner Lori Yata came up with the idea to promote social distancing, and what better way to have your wine brought out to you!
“Mom says that we all have to pitch in and pull our weight, that includes me as well. So, if you are out shopping and have kids in the car, or just want to keep your distance from other folks, give us a call and place your order,” the Stone House Urban Winery said on Facebook.
But don’t worry, Soda Pup is never overworked.
“I never carry more than two bottles of wine. I never make more than one trip per customer. Sometimes I don’t have wine in my sack at all I just to go out and meet people when they come to buy their wine,” they continued on Facebook. “When I’m tired I lay on my BIG comfy bed and nap. My mom knows what is best for me and would never do anything that would cause me harm!”
