The Humane Society of the United States assisted the Washington Area Humane Society in the rescue of 150 animals neglected as the result of a large-scale hoarding situation. Cats, kittens, dogs, and chickens were found in terrible conditions across the two residential properties in Washington County and Westmoreland County in Pennsylvania.
The animals, most of which were cats, were scared and suffering in filthy, stacked cages with no access to food or water. All of them needed immediate medical attention.
These pets were rescued and taken in to get started on living brand new lives. The amazing work and lifesaving efforts provided by the Humane Society are only made possible by your support and donations.
