Florida police officer Joe Puglia was driving along the highway when he saw a dog get hit by a car right in front of him. The dog was hit hard and thrown a couple of lanes in quite the heartstopping moment. The cop stopped his car immediately providing a barrier to be able to get out and tend to the dog.
The officer wrapped the dog in an emergency blanket and proceeded to take him to the nearest animal hospital. “I thought he was dead,” Joe said.
Miraculously, the dog only suffered minor scratches and bruises. He had no tag and no one came forward for him, so the city’s Economic Development Manager adopted him and named him Rosco! How nice. 🙂
