The girlfriend of a Reddit user thought she saw a black plastic bag while driving home from work… but it turned out to be something horrifying. It was an abandoned, homeless stray that was barely even recognizable as a dog. The story – and transformation – will shock you.
This is what they saw, lying in the grass.
They didn’t even realize it was a dog until they looked closer.
She was scared, starving, and dehydrated.
They brought her to the local shelter for shots and a microchip scan.
They weren’t even sure if she was a boy or girl at this point… the matted hair had overtaken her body.
But she kept on smiling! 🙂
She was microchipped but there was no phone number or address associated with her.
There were dead insects and dirt everywhere. But now? Get ready for it…

A very loving, beautiful dog was under there. They say she’s about 6 years old.
She loves to sleep alongside their other dog. And she loves to play too.
They’re trying to decide on the name. It’s either going to be Rasta or Marley. Either way, this dog is in great hands now. What an amazing outcome for this sweet girl! 🙂
