Animal Aid Unlimited arrived on scene to find three puppies covered in rock-solid tar, and one sibling had already passed away from it. Two of the three pups were able to make it back to their mother, but the one was embedded in the stone and couldn’t move at all.
Rescuers had to cut a big slab of stone away from the ground to be able to get her back to the hospital with her siblings. The three pups would undergo hours of labor as staff and volunteers worked cooking oil into their fur to loosen the tar.
By the time all of the tar was gone, the pups were so exhausted. But they were ready to be returned to their mama! They spayed the mother and were happy to see this wonderful family back together where they belong. 🙂
