Pote’s owners said he was sick and needed to be put down. They said he wouldn’t even eat, but rescuers soon discovered that was not the case at all. The dog ate every last bite Sidewalk Specials gave to him!
They checked him for diseases and gave him NexGard to get rid of parasites. It didn’t take much to pick the skinny pup up and get him to the car to head back to Cape Town.
Pote was exhausted but finally safe. He received a final checkup and more care before being placed for adoption…
And then it was off to his forever home! Pote’s new mom adopts all the senior dogs she can, so he has plenty of friends and siblings just like him. You have to see how he’s getting along today! 🙂
