Lou Spent Her Life On This Chain Being Bred To Supply Puppies To The Meat Trade

The Humane Society of the United States learned of a dog meat farm in Haemi, South Korea, and their Animal Rescue Team set out to shut it down. Over 170 dogs were imprisoned there as they awaited their fate to be slaughtered for their meat.

All of the cages were emptied, and all of the dogs rescued! And the last dog to be saved from the meat farm was a girl named Lou. She’d been bred over and over to supply the dog meat trade with puppies, and she suffered her life away. But her day had come, and she couldn’t have been happier!

Lou ran around on her leash when she was freed from her chains, and it was a beautiful sight to behold! This was the beginning of a second chance at life for all 170+ dogs, and it wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support the Humane Society receives. See the rescue below!
