On a cold night in Ontario, Canada, someone spotted a shivering dog on the side of the road. The good Samaritan pulled over to help, and they discovered the dog was cuddled up with some kittens keeping them warm.
The stray dog stayed out in the snow to protect the five orphaned kittens. This person decided to help by taking them all to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue shelter for the night.
And by this point, the dog and kittens had formed a very close and special bond. The loving pooch saved these kitties’ lives! She has become sort of a surrogate mother and insists on checking in on their progress all of the time. 🙂
No one knows where the dog or kittens came from or if they knew each other before finding themselves alone in the world. If an owner doesn’t come forward to claim them, they’ll all eventually be put up for adoption. But thanks to this sweet dog, they’ll never be neglected again! 🙂
