Puppy Found Dumped At The Park With The Saddest Messages Written On Her Fur

A puppy was found at a park in Chillicothe, Ohio, last Friday with the saddest messages written on her fur in permanent marker. Some people visiting the city park discovered the dog locked inside of a wire cage with no sign of an owner anywhere. She was clearly abandoned and unwanted.

On her side written in marker it said “Free” and “Good home only” was scribbled across her forehead. On the dog’s other said it said “I am a gift from God.”

The police were called right away, and the puppy was taken to Ross County Humane Society. The kennel manager, Monica Denney, couldn’t believe her eyes.

“We were all pretty stunned about it,” Monica told The Dodo. “I’ve worked here for three years and have seen quite a lot of terrible things … but I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Besides being covered in the marker, the five-month-old puppy seemed to be quite healthy. The staff named her Marvella, French for “miracle.”

The dog was given a bath and scrubbed with dish soap and hydrogen peroxide which ended up doing the trick. Marvella was a little unsure at first, but she quickly perked up and started playing with the employees and other dogs!

Marvella is all cleaned up and healthy, and she’s now available for adoption. Until then, she’s in good hands and enjoying life. It won’t take long for this sweet and friendly dog to find a forever home, that’s for sure!

The local police are investigating the case and have zeroed in on the person responsible. It’s very likely that charges will be pressed against the person soon.

No animal deserves to be treated this way, and we’re so glad Marvella was found and put with the right people. Hopefully the person who did this is brought to justice soon.
