Chewbacca the 10-year-old German Wirehaired Pointer/Labrador mix and CC the six-year-old Rat Terrier lived together for years with a loving family. But something unfortunate would happen to change everything they’d ever known.
When the family had a kid who was allergic to dogs, the owners were forced to give them up.
They were taken to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa where they were seen constantly cuddling with each other. Now without their family, their inseparable bond was all they had left.
Any time you’d see them, CC was always sitting on top of Chewy. It was apparent that they could never be separated into different homes.
Even when taken out for some fresh air by the shelter volunteers, the best friends stayed side by side.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long for the two to find a forever home!
Chewy and CC will spend the rest of their lives with not only each other but with a loving family consisting of two other dogs and three pigs!
It’s the perfect scenario for the doggy best friends! We couldn’t be happier. 🙂
