Sidewalk Specials found a stray puppy standing guard over her dead sibling’s body by the side of a busy road. After a conversation, they learned this was the mother’s third unwanted litter and all the pups had perished except for this one.
They immediately took little Alida in to care for her so she wouldn’t end up like the rest of the puppies. It’s the sad reality of unchecked breeding in South Africa’s townships where there’s no access or means for proper vet care.
One month later, Alida is not only happy and healthy but in her very own forever home! And the mother dog was found and spayed and given the necessary vaccines and a warm kennel to sleep in. Amazing! 🙂
